LONDON , GREAT BRITAIN

On learning of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the European Muslim League has issued the following statement: This is an extremely sad day for the British nation which has, until now, been led for the last 70 years by Queen Elizabeth with grace and distinction. She was, without doubt, the greatest ambassador for the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth countries she represented, a symbol of stability and unity.

EML will be writing to the Royal family expressing the deep sorrow felt by all of our peace ambassadors and officials on learning of the death of Her Majesty.

EML President Alfredo Maiolese said: "Our thoughts are with the Royal family as they grieve for the loss of this remarkable woman who was not only monarch but a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

”Echoing his sentiments, EML Secretary General Yvonne Ridley added: "Her long reign was defined by her strong sense of duty and her determination to dedicate her life to her country. She steered the monarchy through turbulent changes as British influence around the world declined."With King Charles now ascending to the throne, EML wishes the new head of state, King Charles III a long and happy reign.
