A Gaza per portare aiuti umanitari con il Testimonial e garante il maratoneta estremo nonché pluricampione del Mondo il colonnello Modestino Preziosi. Un militare, uno sportivo ma anche un uomo al servizio dell'umanità. Insignito per i suoi sforzi a favore della pace con il premio Nassirya da parte del Presidente della Repubblica Italiana Sergio Mattarella e la croce d'onore della Repubblica Francese.

Le Parlement Mondial pour la Sécurité et la Paix de l'Organisation mondiale des États IPSP-WOS IGO, en collaboration avec de nombreuses organisations, choisit également la Ligue musulmane européenne EML parmi les partisans de l'initiative.

 À Gaza pour apporter de l'aide humanitaire avec le témoignage et garant du marathonien extrême et multiple champion du monde, le colonel Modestino Preziosi. Un militaire, un sportif mais aussi un homme au service de l'humanité. Récompensé pour ses efforts en faveur de la paix par le prix Nassirya du président de la République italienne Sergio Mattarella et la croix d'honneur de la République française.

The International Parliament for Safety and Peace of the World Organization of States IPSP-WOS IGO, in collaboration with numerous organizations, also chooses the European Muslim League EML among the supporters of the initiative.

 In Gaza to provide humanitarian aid with the testimony and guarantor of extreme marathoner and multiple world champion, Colonel Modestino Preziosi. A soldier, a sportsman but also a man in the service of humanity. Rewarded for his efforts in favor of peace with the Nassirya Prize of the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella and the Cross of Honor of the French Republic.

RABAT, KINGDOM OF MOROCCO

Le Bureau de l'EML a approuvé un nouveau membre pour le Royaume du Maroc, le professeur Mayar El Idrissi, qui s'occupe depuis de nombreuses années de la prévention de l'extrémisme et du radicalisme.  Ex conseiller du ministre des affaires islamiques et expert au près de Isesco et president du centre marocain des études prospective et internationales.  Le Bureau et tous les membres lui souhaitent la bienvenue.

The EML Bureau approved a new member for the Kingdom of Morocco, Professor Mayar El Idrissi, who has been dealing with the prevention of extremism and radicalism for many years. Former advisor to the Minister of Islamic Affairs and expert at Isesco and president of the Moroccan center for prospective and international studies. The Bureau and all members welcome him

ROME, ITALY

As we stand on the threshold of welcoming in a New Year and saying farewell to the old one, it is a time for reflection, hope, and curiosity over what the future will deliver in 2024.

Whatever it holds we at the European Muslim League hope the spirit of peace, which has come to define the beautiful religion of Islam, will continue to shine a light on our shared pursuit of justice and human rights in our troubled world.

Whilst the focus on our planet centred on climate change and environmental issues in 2023 all our concerns were overshadowed by the dark, turbulence unfolding in the Middle East on October 7.

Palestinian Muslims and Christians, especially those in Gaza, continue to stand resolute in the face of unimaginable hardships during the so-called Festive season.

EML extends our solidarity and grief with Pope Francis while we continue our unwavering commitment to defending human rights and the resilience of our efforts for peace. 

Dr Yvonne Ridley, EML Secretary-General, said: "Together both the Christian and Muslim worlds should unite and see 2024 

as an opportunity to extend our tireless interfaith efforts with our Jewish cousins and peoples of other faiths and none.

EML President Dr Alfredo Maiolese  called upon the league's peace ambassadors to reaffirm their commitment to the cause of peace and to amplify all efforts in the pursuit of "global justice, peace, and unity."

Dr Maiolese added: "From St Peter's Square in Rome, Pope Francis made a commitment on Christmas Day to opposing all war, to cherish human life, feed the hungry, and give voice to the voiceless. His values are also shared by ours.

"The road ahead may be challenging, but by working together, our solidarity and perseverance will continue to serve as the keystone that will lock and cement our friendship. 

"Let us seize the opportunities that await us in the coming year to make  realise our shared goals."
