The European Muslims League (EML) reaffirms the importance of the family as the foundation of social and spiritual life. At a time when bonds are fragile and values seem to be dissolving, Islam reminds us that the family is not only a private union but also a covenant of responsibility, love, and justice.
In the Qur’an we read: “And among His signs is that He created for you, from among yourselves, spouses so that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy” (Surah 30:21). This verse reminds us that family unity is born of love and strengthened by mutual mercy.
The family is the first school of education, the place where values, faith, and culture are transmitted. It is through the family that children learn respect, solidarity, and responsibility towards others. For this reason, its protection is not only a religious duty but also a social responsibility that concerns everyone.
The EML calls for rediscovering the central role of the family as a space for dialogue, growth, and peace. Within it are preserved the dignity of man and woman, the education of children, and harmony between generations. A society that abandons the family renounces its heart; a society that supports it prepares a future of balance and hope.
